Influx of Inspiration.
Cool, I can't believe that I'm being afflicted with an influx of inspiration. I've got crazy ideas for the whole Raven Chase thing and I'm going to include a Rambaldi-like plotline in it.
Instead of a person, the Rambaldi-like plotline (which I am going to term as the Nostradamus archetype plot) is going to revolve around an ancient cult with esoteric information on the occult, mathematics, and chemistry. Possibly, there could be prophets or seers in this cult which use drugs and herbs to induce trances. It could even develop into a sort of Lovecraftian story. I could have one Lovecraftian version and one normal version (espionage horror? Oo-er). Maybe the cult has some ancient horror in the depths of some distant or remote place?
I'm planning on starting the whole story with a flashback to hundreds of years back. It might be a flashback to the 1940s to a group of Nazi occultists (was playing with the idea of having this ancient cult being employed to work as occultists for the Nazi regime - but this idea treads of line of historical and political correctness) , or even further back, to the Middle Ages or similar. Then I could possibly describe a conflict between two members of the cult, and some vague or hazy references to a great secret/revelation/super-duper-evil-devastative-weapon, and then both of them perish in the bawl, perhaps in an explosion or collapse or even poison.
Still toying with a lot of ideas. Eeps.
Oh yes, I might even come up with a fictional world intelligence organisation, rather like a global version of the CIA. Might call it the GIO (Global Intelligence Office) or even GIB (Global Intelligence Bureau). Am playing with a lot of ideas still.
At least I've got ideas =]
